How It Works
What a run does on your GitHub account
Githubuilder is in free beta. A free beta run writes 200 commits, dated over the last four years, into one empty repository you create on your GitHub account. You can start up to 2 per account in any 24 hours. Paid runs are not on sale during the beta.
Time Machine Commits
You create a fine-grained token for the run (and, for a Trial-size or free beta run, the empty repository it may write to). The run writes each commit with an author and committer date in the past — the date GitHub's contribution calendar counts it on — and pushes it to that repository. Those commits are a record of what the run generated, not of work done on those days.
AI-Powered Code Generation
On the Advanced tier a run can generate repository code with a language model, on topics you name. The result is generated code committed on the dates you chose — not a record of work you did on those days.
Contribution Pattern Design
Commits land on GitHub's contribution calendar on the dates you chose. That pattern is not evidence of work done on those days.
